West Surrey Palestine Solidarity Campaign is pleased to invite you to a Zoom talk on Tuesday 28th July at 7:00pm. Sue Crosfield, an Ecumenical Accompanier (EA), will share her recent experiences as a human rights observer in the occupied Palestinian Territories. Current Israeli Government plans to annex the West Bank Territories make this talk a timely view of the situation on the ground.

Sue was part of the World Council of Churches’ Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (WCC-EAPPI). EAs provide a presence of 20-25 monitors on the ground, who serve for three months to accompany people in Palestine and Israel navigating daily routines, often under duress. EAs from all age groups aim to offer a protective presence to vulnerable communities, monitoring and reporting human rights abuses. They join Palestinians and Israelis who work in nonviolent ways for peace, and they interact with a myriad of international, Israeli and Palestinian partners. EAPPI works with international groups and non-government organizations (NGOs) in both Israel and Palestine.

Sue's experiences offer a powerful eye-witness account of recent conditions there just prior to the Coronavirus outbreak.
